Beautiful “coffee can” style cap made from high quality wool with typical black doeskin band. The flat wire machine produced NSKK insignia is neatly hand sewn to the cap. Dark brown piping. The interior bears the typical orange lining with maker mark. Majority of the sweatband is no longer present and is missing. However this example does retain the RZM tag. Marked as a size 56 in pencil. Some moth damage, mostly to the underside of the front visor. Displays exceptionally well regardless. Click HERE to view more images of this item! The National Socialist Motor Corps (German: Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps , NSKK) was a paramilitary organization of the Nazi Party (NSDAP) that officially existed from May 1931 to 1945. The NSKK served as a training organization, mainly instructing members in the operation and maintenance of high-performance motorcycles and automobiles. The NSKK was further used to transport NSDAP and SA officials/members. With the outbreak of World War II NSKK ranks were recruited to serve in the transport corps of various German military branches.
