Here’s an impressive example of the most notorious regalia of the Third Reich. This Deutschland Erwache standarte is produced with master craftsmanship, with hand sewn lettering and bullion accents. Red silk body and roundel with tri colored fringe. Leather pole guard on the reverse side intact. Very minor signs of age throughout. What really makes this example special is the veteran provenance which is included. Brought home by Private Clauzelle B Cox of 552 AAA Battalion B Battery, the standarte was found inside the jacket of a surrendering German officer in March of 1945.
