Here is your chance to own a really nice 8 year SS Long Service medal. A nice and crisp strike complete with the correct teardrop style suspension loop. Also complete with the original cardboard box. Box has some wear but complete overall. SS Long Service Awards were given in grades of four years, eight years, twelve years, and twenty-five years. The awards varied in design depending on the length of service of the recipient. The medal was awarded to SS members in the SS- Verfügungstruppe , SS- Totenkopfverbände and the SS-Junkerschule who served honorably and were on active service. Four year award: The four-year service award had a black finish and was awarded only to NCOs and enlisted men. Eight year award: The eight-year service award was finished in bronze and was awarded to all Officers, NCOs and enlisted men.
