Here’s your chance to pick up a police dress bayonet. This example has matching regiment markings on both the scabbard and the crossguard. The scabbard leather unfortunately has seen better days, and is completely missing on about half the reverse side. In need of leather restoration but I will leave that to the buyer. Produced by Paul Weyersberg and marked Paweco opposite of their typical marking, which is very uncommon. Complete with the frog. Nice blade overall. A great example with unfortunate flaws. Himmler gained authority as all of Germany’s uniformed law enforcement agencies. The police were divided into the Ordnungspolizei (regular police) and the Sicherheitspolizei (security police). The Ordnungspolizei assumed duties of regular uniformed law enforcement (including fire brigades) while the SiPo consisted of the secret state police known as the Gestapo and criminal investigation police.
