Here is your chance to own a beautiful spange to the Iron Cross 1st class. L/13 marked on the reverse for the producer Paul Meybauer. In excellent condition overall with a good amount of the frosting remaining which is impressive as this producer only made zinc spange. Complete in the period case of issue. Case has only the lightest shelf wear from storage over the years. Near impossible to upgrade in my professional opinion. Extremely detailed and guaranteed authentic. To permit the two medals to be worn together, a “1939 Clasp” ( Spange ) would be worn on the original 1914 Iron Cross. It depicted a national eagle clutching an oak leaf wreath surrounding a swastika above a trapezoid bearing the year 1939 . The clasp was attached to the 1914 Iron Cross medal ribbon. The ribbon was then worn through a tunic button of the uniform. Free shipping ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD & I don’t charge PayPal fees like some of the other guys!
