Here is your chance to pick up a nice Heer M40 helmet. The shell is a hkp62 with a hard to fully decipher lot number. Decal has seen better days, but remnants still remain. The liner is sound overall with typical signs of wear throughout. Untouched split pins for the liner band. Named on the interior skirt “Alois Breiten”. Shrapnel damage to the exterior of the shell, with the air vent being completely ripped through. Some denting on the same side as well. Chinstrap present with aluminum buckle. The Heer was the land forces component of the Wehrmacht, the regular German Armed Forces, from 1935 until it ceased to exist in 1945 and then formally dissolved in August 1946.
