Here’s a nice sized pre WWII ribbon bar which nicely represents the inter-years of the war. This six-place ribbon bar is a rare setup to find and features not only a Schaumberg-Lippe War Merit Cross ribbon but also a ribbon for the 2nd class Silesian Eagle award. It also features the ribbons for the iron cross second class during World War 1, the Hindenburg Cross, and 2 Wehrmacht service medals. In good overall condition and not an easy bar to find when you need one. The Wehrmacht was the unified armed forces of Nazi Germany from 1935 to 1945. It consisted of the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Luftwaffe (air force). The designation ” Wehrmacht ” replaced the previously used term Reichswehr , and was the manifestation of the Nazi regime’s efforts to rearm Germany to a greater extent than the Treaty of Versailles permitted.
