Here is your chance to pick up a stunning Army helmet. Approximately 2,100 M1918 Ear Cut Out helmets were produced in medium size 64 shells by Eisenhüttenwerke of Thale. The ET64 shell marking is faint but is present on this example which has a 56 size liner. The original draw string is present as well and the dust ring is undisturbed on the zinc-banded shell. To top off this fantastic piece, the Veteran’s information is included with the sale. This piece was returned to the US by Weldon Owens, of the 10th Regiment, Easy Company within the 5th Infantry Division. This brave soldier was Bronze Star recipient with two oak leaf clusters.
