Description
Here’s your chance to own a very handsome uniform from the Third Reich Forestry service in the rank of Forstwart. According to regulation this is a 1942 pattern A-rock type blouse. There are some minor areas of damage including a crack to one of the buttons and the piping of the one collar tab is just starting to come undone. The belt and buckle, which dates from an earlier period is not included but was added for photo purposes! An underappreciated branch of service to the Reich and still quite affordable.CLICK HERE to view more images of this item! Forestry and hunting in Germany enjoys a long history, and in 1933 Hermann Göring was appointed as “Reichsforst und Jägermeister” (National-forestry and Hunting Master). He was in charge of the National Forestry Department and its military-like members. Forestry officials during Nazi Germany had very similar duties to modern forestry services. This service was in charge of taking care of and maintaining forests and protected spaces. Officials were similar to a forest security force.
