Here is your chance to own a most impressive piece of Adolf Hitler formal pattern flatware. Here we have a dessert spoon which measures 4-5/16″ long and weighs in at 15g of 800 silver. Uncleaned with lots of silver patina. Correctly hallmarked on the reverse. It is generally believed there were approximately 3,000 pieces of the “Formal” pattern produced, and about 1000 pieces of the “Informal”. Obviously serving pieces such as an asparagus fork or sugar tongs would have been produced in far less quantity than standard forks, knives and spoons. Either pattern is hallmarked in the identical manner, and the marks appear stamped in line, being a crescent, a crown, “800”, and a Prussian eagle. It is thought that these pieces came from the bombed out Braunhaus. This building was bombed almost into oblivion. The Führerbau was located next door and this is where State dinners were held. It is believed the staff kept the service stuff in the basement of the Braunhaus next door. Those are the only two places in Munich which held the formal pattern from what I’ve gathered. These pieces are to be considered extremely rare and the accompanying Veteran documentation is most thrilling.Free shipping ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD & I don’t charge PayPal fees like some of the other guys!
