Description
Here’s your chance to own a very handsome uniform from the Third Reich customs service for the rank of a Zollassistent. The collar tabs are sewn on very crudely and other stitches to hold them in place, but I do not see any stitching going through the collar to make me think these are replaced. 2 badge loops and a ribbon for the War Merit Cross 2nd class are present on the uniform making this one display great with badges. Lining overall is in good condition. Almost a uniform display that would only need a few minor additions to complete. The belt and awards are not included but was added for photo purposes! An underappreciated branch of service to the Reich and still quite affordable.Click HERE to view more images of this item!Zollgrenzschutz was an organization under the German Finance Ministry from 1937 to 1945. It was charged with guarding Germany’s borders, acting as a combination Border Patrol and Customs & Immigration service. It originated in the early 19th century as a tariff enforcement unit of the Prussian government. Reorganized in 1919 under the Weimar Republic following World War I, it gradually became more militarized and transformed into a paramilitary force, also due to the economic woes of blockade, inflation and the Great Depression.Free shipping ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD & I don’t charge PayPal fees like some of the other guys!
