Beautiful “coffee can” style cap made from high quality wool with typical black doeskin band. The flat wire machine produced NSKK insignia is neatly hand sewn to the cap. Dark brown piping. The interior bears the typical orange lining with a leather sweatband and retains the linen Dienstmutze RZM label underneath. There is one small tear in the perimeter of the sweatband but it’s barely noticeable at all. The smallest piece of headgear I’ve owned in 20 years and stamped as a 53 in size, which makes it all that much more special. Displays exceptionally well.The National Socialist Motor Corps (German: Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps, NSKK) was a paramilitary organization of the Nazi Party (NSDAP) that officially existed from May 1931 to 1945. The NSKK served as a training organization, mainly instructing members in the operation and maintenance of high-performance motorcycles and automobiles. The NSKK was further used to transport NSDAP and SA officials/members. With the outbreak of World War II NSKK ranks were recruited to serve in the transport corps of various German military branches.
