Here is your chance to pick up a wonderful example of a Panzer Assault Badge in silver. This piece is maker marked on the reverse for the producer Weidemann. Manufactured from zinc and retains most of it’s original silver-wash finish. Interesting over-trimming on the left arm of the swastika, which was how this badge left the factory. This particular specimen looks absolutely fantastic on display and has an even patina. The Wehrmacht Tank Battle badge was introduced on December 20, 1939, in order to recognize the achievements of Panzer personnel who took part in armored assaults. It was designed by Ernst Peekhaus of Berlin, and was instituted by order of Generaloberst von Brauchitsh.
