The letter V spread across much of Nazi occupied Europe as a sign of defiance against their rise to power. Nazi propaganda started claiming that V stood for the German word “viktoria” and that the use of Vs by civilians was a sign of their support for victory by Germany. This decal is a piece produced during this era. Produced on cellioid. With some cracking which has been repaired with tape as seen in photos.
