Here is your chance to own an original Spanish volunteer sleeve insignia. Bevo style weave construction and would have been worn by Wehrmacht volunteers from Spain in the infamous Blue Division. This one is in good condition as can be seen in the photos and is unissued. This would be a fantastic example to put on display with other items of the period. Absolutely guaranteed authentic! While I can’t prove the provenance, I was told this shield belonged to Medical Captain Alvaro Lesta Arduin, who was in the Blue Division from February 1942 to August 1943 in III Battalion of the 262nd Regiment and was decorated with the Iron Cross 2nd class. The Wehrmacht was the unified armed forces of Nazi Germany from 1935 to 1945. It consisted of the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Luftwaffe (air force). The designation ” Wehrmacht ” replaced the previously used term Reichswehr , and was the manifestation of the Nazi regime’s efforts to rearm Germany to a greater extent than the Treaty of Versailles permitted. During the war about 18 million men served in the Wehrmacht . Free shipping ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD & I don’t charge PayPal fees like some of the other guys!
