Here is your chance to pick up a an Early NSFK dagger. This piece has wear to the leather grip and scabbard throughout from less than ideal storage over the years. The throat on the sheath is NSFK icarus logo stamped and the lower crossguard is “K” marked. Dark patina throughout the nickel fittings. Lower fitting on the scabbard missing 1 screw. Manufactured by the firm SMF from Solingen and is maker marked on the blade. The blade has minor spotting throughout as seen in the pictures. Blade was lightly sharpened on one edge but really must be seen with magnification. Complete with the hanger which has a split in the leather held together from the metal device. The National Socialist Flyers Corps (NSFK), was a paramilitary organization of the Nazi Party that was founded in 1937 and conducted military aviation training in gliders and private airplanes. When Nazi Germany formed the Luftwaffe, many NSFK members transferred. The NSFK existed throughout WWII, but mainly performed air defense duties such as anti-aircraft service. This is a fantastic and rare historical treasure that would make a perfect addition to any Third Reich collection.
