Description
Here we have a Reichs Ministerial overcoat for Kanzler II Klasse. Made of fine quality navy colored wool with large collar piped in silver metallic cord. Double breasted with two flapped hip pockets and turn back cuffs. The rear is belted and the skirt is vented. The chest has two rows of six embossed silver buttons with ministry style eagle motif. The rear belt is half secured with four other buttons of the same type. The rank insignia on the left lower sleeve is embroidered in aluminum wires of a dark blue wool field, it is hand sewn to the sleeve with blue thread. The coat is lined in blue rayon. There are two internal breast pockets and an opening for suspension of the dagger. Coat was used but there is little nap wear, with areas of moth tracking few small holes to the body. The area underneath the right lapel has fingertip sized holes. There is a repair between the lower front rows of buttons where the brocade belt would be worn.
